Importance Of Biofuels
Biofuel is a type of renewable fuel made from various sources such as agricultural waste, plastics, food waste, or used cooking oil. Biofuel is safe, biodegradable, and is ‘carbon neutral’. This means that biofuel produces less air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions than petroleum-based fuels. A blend of 100% biofuel could reduce the carbon emissions made by the 8.5 million cars and trucks in America by an entire 75%!

Here, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We’re PowerFuels, a Lexus Eco team from Jericho, NY dedicated to changing how we power the world. We’re all about various biofuels, clean alternatives to current harmful fossil fuels that can produce up to 90% less greenhouse gases and can be made from variety of cleaner sources compared to standard energy sources. We plan to go around the community to educate, change, and inspire everyone we meet. In fact, in the last month, we proceeded to final phase and became regional-finalists!
