How does turning waste to fuel help the water?

Currently, 40% of America's rivers and 46% of America's lakes are too polluted for fishing, swimming, or aquatic life. This all because of the waste that is being thrown into the ocean. In fact, 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated sewage, storm water, and industrial waste are discharged into US waters annually. 70% of industrial wastes are dumped untreated into waters, polluting the usable water supply. Along with the industrial waste 4.8 million metric tons of plastic are also polluting the oceans. So our team Powerfuels decided to spread awareness and to educate others about how we can solve this problem through biofuels. The waste that polluted the water can be converted and turned into biofuel, specifically ethanol fuel. Ethanol fuel can be used for fuel in cars and electricity production. Plastics can be converted through the process of pyrolysis again producing Ethanol Fuel.
